Our approach
Our approach to all services is centered on using a strengths-based model, and making each individual feel comfortable and validated.
We emphasize the importance of a personalized experience, taking note of sensory needs, emotional regulation needs, and learning and communication styles.
We aim to create an optimal environment for learning new skills by first meeting sensory and emotional regulation needs. For example, exploring sound and light accommodations, access to fidgets and other types of sensory input, acknowledging stims as regulation, access to safe foods, and so much more.
When working with autistic gestalt language learners, we use the Natural Language Aquisition (NLA) framework, gestalts and echolalia are fully acknowledged as communication and built upon to expand language development. Additionally, we incorporate likes and sources of joy, such as special interests, stims, and gestalts into therapy.
Additionally, we fully support neurodivergent people who desire to learn ‘normative’ social skills related to forming relationships with family, peers, and dates, as well as in the workplace.
